Virtual Field

Virtual Field is the leading visual field test for virtual reality (VR) headsets. This piece of technology can test peripheral vision loss in diseases such as glaucoma and retinitis pigmentosa or central vision loss in diseases like macular degeneration and from the use of high risk medications such as plaquenil and hydroxychloroquine.

Intended Use
Virtual Field is an automatic perimeter used to aid in the detection and measurement of visual field defects.

Indications for Use
Virtual Field is an automated perimeter intended to identify visual field defects for the purposes of screening, monitoring and assisting in the diagnosis and management of ocular diseases such as glaucoma, and related neurological disorders.

Patient Population
Virtual Field may be used on all adults and children over the age of six in need of diagnostic evaluation of the eye.

This includes (but is not limited to) patients with the following disabilities or challenges:

• Wheelchair user

• Very low or not measurable visual acuity

• Postural problems

• Fixation problems

• Deafness
