Types of Lenses

Single Vision Lenses:
Single vision lenses are the most common lenses in most frames. These lenses have one power. They help correct farsightedness, (hyperopia), nearsightedness (myopia), and astigmatism.

Computer Digital Lenses - Essilor’s Eyezen:

Eyezen enhanced single vision lenses are more than just ordinary glasses, they provide sharper vision than ordinary single vision lenses and are available to everyone—whether you have a prescription or just want a pair of computer glasses. Eyezen enhanced single vision lenses are designed for the way you see the world, reducing strain from viewing digital devices. They perform better than computer glasses and filter Harmful Blue Light, helping to keep your eyes protected and comfortable, even on your most digital days.

Lens Materials

Eyeglasses used to be made from glass. Although we can still make lenses in glass form, most designs are now made from durable plastic.

Polycarbonate:
Thin, light, impact-resistant, provide 100% UV protection, and is shatterproof. Polycarbonate is a great choice for most prescriptions and is optimal for children.

Trivex:
Thinner, lightweight, impact-resistant, and provides 100% UV protection. The advantage of trivex is the sharper vision obtained compared to polycarbonate lenses.

Hi-Index 1.67 and Hi-Index 1.74:
Thinnest and lightest lens. This lens is ideal for stronger prescriptions making it more comfortable for long-term wear.

Protective coatings on eyeglass lenses help make the lenses last longer and also protect against damage to your eyes.

Anti-Reflective Coating - Crizal Sapphire 360 UV and Crizal Rock
