LATISSE CONSULTATION

Are you interested in longer, darker, and thicker lashes? With many options to enhance your lashes such as growth serums, lash extensions, and false lashes, it is important to understand the risks prior to proceeding. Since eyelashes are closely located to your eye’s ocular surface, protecting your eye from harmful damage and discomfort is our optometrist’s mission. Our optometrist’s knowledge can help guide you in choosing the healthiest beauty-enhancing procedure!

A prescription for Latisse is now available at Heights Eye Studio!

Latisse, or bimatoprost, is an FDA-approved prescription serum that is a revolutionary eyelash treatment that enhances the appearance and length of your lashes. Originally prescribed to treat glaucoma, Latisse was discovered to have a side effect of lash growth. Latisse can help treat hypotrichosis (a condition with little or no hair) to make your eyelashes grow longer, darker, and thicker. Latisse works by increasing the length and number of eyelashes of your eyelash growth phase. Latisse solution is made to be applied at the base of your upper lashes daily. Latisse patients will see eyelash growth beginning at 4 weeks and will have full results at 16 weeks.

At Heights Eye Studio, we have the best optometrist to carefully evaluate if you are a good candidate for Latisse. Afterwards, the optometrist can prescribe Latisse and monitor the health of your eyes in case you have ocular surface complications. Common side effects of using Latisse are eye redness, itching, dryness, darkening of eyelids, and darkening of the iris (colored part of the eye).
